DEVELOPMENT HISTORY

XY was optioned by Alhadeff Productions (part of the lead producing team on Broadway’s Come From Away and Memphis). The piece received a developmental production in 2020 at the Village Theatre. XY was presented at the National Alliance of Musical Theatre Conference (NAMT) in 2018, and received readings at Chicago Shakespeare Theatre and the Village Theatre in 2019. The piece has been developed through the ASCAP Musical Theatre Workshop (Moderated by Stephen Schwartz, Michael Weiner and Joe DiPietro), the Dramatists Guild Fellows Program, the Johnny Mercer Writers Colony at Goodspeed Musicals, the Ball State University Musical Theater Festival, the Musical Theater Factory Writers Group, a residency at the Ucross Foundation and through a grant from the New York SongSpace. Aria Entertainment produced a public staged reading of XY at The Other Palace Theatre, and the show was selected for the 2018 “Bound for Broadway” concert at the Kaufman Center in NY. XY was a finalist for the 2019 O'Neill Musical Theatre Conference.
