ABOUT THIS PROJECT

MASQUERADE
Off Broadway 2025 - Present

Director: Diane Paulus
Associate Director & Supervising Resident Director: Hunter Bird

I serve as the primary in-house artistic authority for Masquerade, an immersive musical directed by Diane Paulus, overseeing an over-three-hour, 75+-member performance, crew, and butler team across a six-floor, non-traditional theatrical environment with both indoor and outdoor show variations.

In this role, I handle day-to-day production, safeguarding artistic integrity through cast transitions, company launches, and the unique demands of immersive theater. I lead a 40-person acting company, a 35-person Butler team executing complex choreographed audience interactions, and a full Stage Management department including PSM, ASMs, and production assistants.

Key responsibilities include spearheading replacement casting, designing and implementing training programs for new company members and understudies, and developing cast tracking systems that balance sustainability with artistic excellence. I conduct ongoing performance evaluations, provide detailed notes across all tracks, and serve as the production's first line of response for any artistic or operational challenge.

I also collaborate with producers and general managers on long-term planning, advising on the budgetary implications of artistic decisions, and helping pioneer best practices for immersive musical theatrical supervision at scale.
